It's not really a blog, more a stream of sometimes salient, occasionally amusing, mildly relevant milestones in our journey through eDemocracy.
Back to list
Votewise is a superb idea, run by a couple of average Joe's in an office in Brighton. It isn't sponsored by government or parties or anyone with tons of money. Crucially it doesn't list every election and automatically invite all of the participants because there is no central place where all local elections are listed - crazy huh?
If you would like us to list your local election you simply need to tell us about it, preferably as soon as possible and then, if you're feeling super helpful, send us the Notice of Persons Nominated when the council release it. We need this document because it's the only thing that has all of the candidates and their addresses so we can send them all an invite in the post.
Other things you can do to help include:
Telling the council Electoral Services Department that we're doing this and they should give us a ring and link to us.
Prodding all of your local candidates to take part - remind them it's free and impartial.
Tell all your friends that we're doing it, blogs, leaflets - whatever you can manage.
Don't ask us to list all of the elections that your council is running, we need someone on the ground driving each election. If you want all of your parties elections listed you need to contact them first and get at least one from each ward to volunteer.
