I was born and still live in Boston. Educated at the High School for Girls and working for a major bank in the town.
I contested Coastal Ward in 2007 and am pleased to do so again.
It's time for young, fresh ideas, not the old mistakes of the past.
| Issue 1. | Force Boston councillors to listen to you by holding referendums on important issues. [Report Post] | |
| Issue 2. | Fight to limit housebuilding to meet local needs only. [Report Post] | |
| Issue 3. | Slash council expenditure by cutting out waste, bureaucracy, meaningless targets and politically correct non-jobs. [Report Post] | |
| Issue 4. | Sell off the PRSA(DABSI) and fire the traffic/image/community cohesion consultants and use common sense instead. [Report Post] | |
| Issue 5. | I WILL NOT TAKE A PENNY IN ALLOWANCES/EXPENSES! [Report Post] |
Question ... 'Felicity,
I do not condone these aggresive anti ukip views from people who align themselves with the bnp. The party with whom you have chosen to ally yourself with is the party which best fits your political viewpoint at this present time. I do not see any milage in a person openly ridiculing another party who in many aspects are singing from the same prayer sheet. To me its a waste of energy! You are entiltled to your view and whilst we still have some liberty in the uk others have theirs, At least the candidates kept it clean and honorable. All the best

Felicity said ... 'Thank you David
I agree it was a good, clean and fair fight by everyone and reflects credit to all of us.
You will always find 'over the top supporters' in every party, just look at London's Mayor! ......but that's politics.

Question ... 'Will you admit that UKIP are nothing more than labours side kick to try and steal votes from the BNP who appear to be the true nationalist partie.' |
Felicity said ... 'Would you?' [Report Post] |
Question ... 'As EUKIP is an establishment construct designed to divert disaffected voters from voting for the only anti-EU party in this country, the BNP, could you tell us how much money EUKIP receives from the EU, an organisation it is supposedly opposed to?' |
Felicity said ... 'Hi Motk,
UKIP MEP's receive the same salary as a Westminster MP plus their allowances...the same as all other parties MEP's and as will any BNP MEP that gets elected next year, or will they do different?' [Report Post] |
Question ... 'You say that you will not take any allowances, but is it not a fact that UKIP MEPs have been caught with their collective snoughts in the trough in Brussels? Furthermore, despite stating publicly that UKIP is against immigration from Eastern Europe, did not one of your party's MEPs use Polish builders on a barn conversion he was having carried out at his home?' |
Felicity said ... 'Hi Captainsyn,
Long time no hear.
Below is a copy of your last email we received...enough said I think!
Dear Mr. Ransome
It's always helpful when the enemies of freedom reveal themselves, so I would like to thank you personally for crawling out from beneath your stone and exposing your hatred of the democratic processes in this country (just exactly what we would expect from a member of the government-backed organisation, EUKIP/UKRAP, or whatever it's called these days).
I am, of course, referring to your email entitled: "Nott. so good for BNP" (a brilliant play on words -NOT).
By the way, just in case you hadn't heard the most recent council by-election result, thought you'd probably like to see it, so here it is:
Church Gresley (South Derbyshire) Council By-election 18th October 2007:
LAB (Gordon Edgar Rhind) 639 (43.8%) -23.0
BNP (Richard Charles Fallows) 516 (35.4%)
CON (Jana Beatrice Eaton) 304 (20.8%) -12.4
Oh, I've just noticed, EUKIP don't seem to have contested this one, I wonder why?
It wasn't because they made a mistake with their nomination papers was it? No! Surely not!
Or was it because they knew that they would get a thrashing from the BNP -YET AGAIN?
Anyway, you just carry on supporting the marxists and the other anti-democrats at your friend Mr Gable's organisation and we will carry on fighting to save this country from creeping EU control and islamification.
Yours in sport

Question ... 'I see from your website (very good by the way) that you also want to re-open rail lines where viable. How would this affect Coastal?' |
Felicity said ... 'Hi Steve
Thanks for the compliment about the site but I have dropped a clanger or two when constructing it....my first attempt.
The items on the left which include the transport section and the part about railway expansion are snippets from UKIP policies and so would not be relevant to Coastal but just give voters an idea about UKIP and its policies.
What I feel really appertains to Coastal Ward is the following:
If elected I would give priority to keeping in touch with residents by newsletters, newspaper articles, websites, attending meetings such as Parish Council etc.
Being available to contact by telephone, fax, email, mobile, text, Royal Mail whenever possible.
Representing the views of the majority of Coastal residents on all important issues, even if it goes against my own feelings or UKIP policy, by using local referendums rather than voting on party or grouping lines as we see all too often at the Borough.
Not keeping a penny of allowances in order to show that I am here to truly represent Coastal residents and not put money in my pocket or propose Councillor allowance increases of 107%.
Sorry I'll get off my soapbox now!
Kind regards,
Felicity' [Report Post] |
Question ... 'Dear Candidates, Voter apathy will be what kills this country. Is it now time for proportional representation in local government to become a reality so that the general public have a true cross party voice in local issues.
I commend the councillors who decide not to use the council allowances and expenses as to be a councillor should be for the people not the income.
Best of luck in your campaigns and thanks you all for taking the time to represent the electorate in your area.' |
Felicity said ... 'You are correct in saying voter apathy is killing this country, but then I think that professional politicians really do not want voters interfering with their career paths and plans.
Much better for them to drive voters away and leave a sham of election voting to the party faithful/activists.
So many people can find so little difference between the major partied policies that they just resign themselves to often heard phrase "They are all as bad as each other".
I believe minor parties can play an vital role in returning the importance of voting back into peoples lives.
Thank you for your acknowledgement of my stand on allowances/expenses, I wish to allow the people of Coastal to choose which local(Lincolnshire) charity those funds should benefit if I am elected.' [Report Post] |
Question ... 'Dear Candidates,
if the bus driving threw town is a trailo why have the council spent so much money it aint a trail its here to stay ***** up again get the frigeiners out bnp get some back bone c18 forever' |
Felicity said ... 'This clearly is not a trial, that was thrown in at the last minute to diffuse the overwhelming protest against the new bus route.
Very often councils carry out a public consultation and have zero intent on acting upon any course of action other than their original plan.
A binding referendum on the new route would be only way to get the Conservative controlled Lincolnshire County County to listen to the voters.
Meanwhile Boston Bypass Independent controlled Boston Borough Council appears unwilling to act for the majority of Bostonians who simply do not want buses in the precinct.' [Report Post] |
Question ... 'Can I ask how you will stay in touch with local people, if elected?' |
Felicity said ... 'I think staying in touch is a vital part of being a councillor, how many times do they get elected and then forget to do this?
I would try to put out a newsletter every six months and hold ward surgeries on a regular basis.
I think I would also need to either continue with the blogspot or upgrade to a full website in order to communicate with those that are IT connected.
I would also try to attend as many events/shows/meetings...even car boots in order to make myself contactable.
Kind regards
Felicity' [Report Post] |
Question ... ' I WILL NOT TAKE A PENNY IN ALLOWANCES/EXPENSES!
Then how will you support yourself whilst working tirelessly for us?' |
Felicity said ... 'I am in full time employment and I guess I'll just have to do without the foreign holiday/annual car change etc. that the allowances could pay for.
I would like to serve the people of Coastal, not burden them.' [Report Post] |
You can no longer ask Felicity questions as this election has past.
